• Every Friday | 10:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Every other Wednesday | 10:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Hammer + Vine is a small, creative plant shop where every day is a little different. One minute you might be helping someone choose their very first houseplant and planter combo, and the next you're watering a shelf of plants, tagging new inventory, or packing up a local delivery with a handwritten gift message.

What We Are Looking For:

✨ Customer Service

This is the most important one.

Our customers are a gift and should be treated as such. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, asks thoughtful questions, listens well, and enjoys helping our customers find the perfect plant.

Being real with our customers is important. We don't expect anyone to know everything, especially with new plants arriving all the time. If you don't know the answer to a customer's question, take the time to look it up together.

✨ Hustle

This is not an easy, relaxing job. We work hard and get dirty.

This job includes physical labor such as unloading large plant shipments, planters, and bags of soil. We're always watering, organizing, merchandising, and restocking to keep the shop lush and thriving.

If you're the kind of person who naturally looks around for the next thing that needs to be done, you'll fit right in.

✨ An Artistic Eye & Strong Attention to Detail

Every plant we bring into the shop is cared for with intention. Whether you're watering, merchandising, pricing new arrivals, or helping a customer, we're looking for someone who notices the little things.

If you enjoy photography, merchandising, styling displays, or creating beautiful social media content, that's a huge plus.

✨ Houseplant Experience

A solid foundation in houseplant care is important. We're always learning, and we expect you to be too.

✨ Organization

Hundreds of plants move through our shop every week. Staying organized behind the scenes helps everything run smoothly.

✨ Great Time Management

You'll often be working alone and must be able to masterfully juggle customers and daily tasks. Knowing what needs attention first and being able to shift gears throughout the day is incredibly important.

✨ Job Duties Include:

• Opening and closing the shop
• Taking great care of our customers
• Helping customers find the perfect plants and planters
• Potting plants and creating plant projects
• Plant care, watering, and daily maintenance
• Receiving, pricing, and stocking new shipments
• Photographing new arrivals for our website
• Creating Instagram posts and Reels
• Fulfilling pickup and delivery orders

A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are a bonus if you're interested in occasionally helping with local deliveries.

We're hoping to find someone who enjoys being part of our little shop for the long term. As Hammer + Vine grows, there may be opportunities for additional hours.

We're looking for the right person to join our team, not just someone to cover a shift. After interviews, we typically invite our final candidate to work a couple of paid trial shifts so we can get to know each other and make sure it feels like a great fit for everyone.
