The Maranta family is full of seemingly hand-painted foliage that is unique to each cultivar.
This plant is found crawling along the jungle floor and therefore thrives in a humid environment! They are also pet-friendly. These beauties raise and lower their leaves throughout the day in reaction to their lighting, earning the nick name "prayer plant".
Watering - These plants love moisture, but not sopping wet soil. Allow them to dry out most of the way before giving them a thorough drink.
Sunshine - Marantas are excellent for medium to low light areas and prefer to be kept away from any harsh sun. Their moisture and lighting preferences make them wonderfully suited for a bathroom with a window!
